Where can I buy MeltCraft?
MeltCraft is only available at Michaels stores, so head to your local Michaels to check us out!
How do I melt the wafers?
- Place wafers in a microwave-safe container and heat for 30 seconds at 50% power, then stir.
- Continue to heat in 15-second increments and stir in between, until wafers are melted and smooth.
Note: Do not overheat. Do not add liquid.
For Dipping:
Let excess drip off and set on wax paper or foil to harden. Treats set up in minutes when placed in refrigerator or freezer.
Do I need to add anything to the wafers?
Nope! Our wafers will melt smoothly on their own without adding anything.
What are the white marks on my wafers?
If you are seeing white marks or imperfections on your wafers, much of what you’re seeing is probably scuffs from the wafers bumping against each other.
You could also be seeing something known as “bloom”. Bloom occurs when ingredients separate due to fluctuations of temperature during the storing process. Bloom does not affect quality or performance of the wafers, and the bloom can often be easily wiped off with your hands!
The wafers are 100% safe to eat and as soon as they are melted down, they will return to their vibrant color!
Can I burn MeltCraft Candy Wafers?
Yes, when MeltCraft wafers are overheated, they will lose their smooth consistency. For best results when melting, stir the wafers every 10-15 seconds until you reach your desired consistency.
I don’t see the color that I want.
We’re sorry to hear that! We try to offer a wide selection, but it can be challenging to have everything! Feel free to reach out and let us know what you’re looking for, and with enough interest we might be able to expand our offerings in the future.
My wafers started to harden while melting, what did I do wrong?
MeltCraft will harden on its own for final products, however if you weren’t done with your work before it began to set, you can re-melt them by placing them back in the microwave for a couple of seconds at a time, stirring in between.
Our wafers will also seize up when water or other liquids are added, so if you are working with a product that has a lot of moisture, like fruit, this could occur.
What is your return policy?
